Jammu to Pahalgam/Baltal: The distance from Jammu to Pahalgam is about 255 kilometers, and it takes approximately 6-8 hours to reach by road. Pahalgam is a scenic town with lush valleys and is the traditional starting point for the Amarnath Yatra.
Baltal is another base camp, closer to the Amarnath cave. The distance from Jammu to Baltal is approximately 400 kilometers, and the drive takes about 10-12 hours.
